Welcome

Quendon Hall Wedding Video

There's probably an ancient proverb somewhere that says "why just have one wedding when you can have two?". Luckily for us, Anita and Alkay have obviously heard the same proverb and had two ceremonies for us to capture for their Quendon Hall wedding video. This was yet another wedding that suffered from multiple postponements. Therefore, it was a great relief to finally see these two married.

Parkland Quendon Hall

Quendon Hall is a luxurious wedding venue in Essex with a 17th-century mansion central to the surrounding deer park. It enjoys views of the 100 acre estate which brings a smile to your face as you spot the local wildlife – with a glass of champagne in hand! With the two weddings for the day in mind, there was a large indoor space and an outside gazebo to hold both ceremonies. Why did Anita and Alkay have two ceremonies? I’m glad you asked.

TAMIL HINDU WEDDING AT PARKLANDS QUENDON HALL

The first ceremony at Parklands Quendon Hall began with a celebration of Anita’s Sri Lankan heritage. We started the morning with the bride getting dressed in one of her two sarees (supplied by Ranya Sarees). Like most Tamil wedding ceremonies, this one was full of little moments between the couple and a lot packed under the mandap. The second ceremony was a Catholic blessing that was held outdoors in the glorious sunshine. Then we went back into the marquee for some dinner and speeches. All before another change of outfits to kick off their party.

It is always a pleasure to have our friend Adam at ARJ Photography to work with through the day. Be sure to check out Adam’s wedding photos of this Parklands Quendon Hall Sri Lankan Hindu wedding over on his blog.

Thank goodness for those ancient proverbs!
