Before Notley Abbey became the enchanting Buckinghamshire wedding venue it is today, it had a rich and fascinating history under the ownership of notable individuals. Originally built in the 12th century, Notley Abbey was initially a Cistercian monastery, known as the Abbey of Our Lady of Notley. More recently, it was notable for being the home of Laurence Olivier + Vivien Leigh. The estate became a gathering place for the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry, a hub of intellectual and artistic exchange.
Notley Abbey is a historical gem nestled in the picturesque countryside of Buckinghamshire. The venue boasts a romantic charm with its lush gardens, ancient stone walls, and majestic trees. Luna, their little canine companion, was a charming guest, delighting everyone with her playful antics. Sometimes shy, she was an absolutely gorgeous addition to the wedding day.
