Anna and Andrew's El Nido wedding in the Philippines was breathtakingly beautiful. When Anna and Andrew told us about their big day, we knew it'd be an unforgettable celebration for everyone involved.
Lagen Island Wedding
Lagen Island, which is a tiny island off the coast of El Nido in the Philippines, is a location with such untouched beauty that it almost became its own character in this wedding. A wonderful place like this needed an equally amazing couple to compliment it, and we could not have asked for a better couple than Anna and Andrew. Adventurous, kind, and crazy in love, they knocked it out of the park in planning their big day.
To reach Lagen Island for this El Nido Resorts wedding video, we flew to Manila and then took a plane, van, and boat ride over there. It was exhausting but completely worth it! The island has a beautiful coral reef and some great dive spots. And we were able to experience these things during our time there. It felt like we were in a BBC nature documentary at times, seeing sea turtles, lizards, and monkeys! It certainly was a dive into paradise.
The Wedding Day
The ceremony took place on a beautiful sunny day overlooking the gorgeous Palawan lagoon. Anna wore a gorgeous wedding gown and looked every inch the stunning bride. Guests talked about how much fun they had at the wedding reception, which went on until late in the evening. After the wedding day, we managed to spend some more time with the couple as we island hopped to get some footage of the two of them.
Over the next several days we were treated to a wonderful celebration of Filipino island culture with two people declaring their love for one another on this magical island. When you have your wedding away from home, it becomes an extended destination celebration!
