Chateau Forge Du Roy Wedding
During one of the hottest weeks on record in France, Atlanta and Aaron flew all the way from the US to have their intimate Chateau Forge Du Roy wedding.
Dreaming of a Wedding in France
Atlanta and Aaron are two sweet people who share a love of fun and the finer things in life. Deciding to get married in France, they contacted our friend Sarah to plan their day. Sarah always does a magnificent job when planning destination weddings. Whether in France or further afield, she always knocks it out of the park for her clients.
However, we couldn't plan on having the wedding during one of the hottest weeks on record. Flowers were kept in the shade for as long as possible before the ceremony while the couple kept cool indoors with a few chilled glasses of champagne. With the ceremony spot in the shade, our couple read their personalised vows to each other as their family and friends looked on. Atlanta brought her Southern Belle look to France and it matched the occasion perfectly. This all continued into the evening as a combination of music, alcohol, and cigars kept the party going into the night.
Why Americans Swoon Over French Destination Weddings
We sometimes ask ourselves why we see so many Americans decide to get married in France. Obviously, the romance factor is a big reason. Yet it also brings a rich history, art, and culture for every couple. France is home to some of the finest wines in the world, and French cuisine is renowned for its delicate flavors and artistic presentation. So hosting a wedding in France ensures guests will be treated to a culinary experience to remember.
We've noticed a trend in American brides and grooms flying over to France to host their destination wedding. It's not hard to see why when you see Atlanta and Aaron's day as an example.
