In a rare break from all the rain and clouds, Mavis and Andrew were married on a gorgeous sunny day in the Lake District for their Windermere wedding video at the wonderfully tranquil Storrs Hall. Although they live and work in Hong Kong, Mavis and Andrew decided to have their wedding where Andrew is from in Windermere. We’re thankful they did because it was an absolute pleasure to witness all their friends and family reveling in the day.
The morning with the bridal party was a bit of an unashamed laugh-o-rama. With Mavis’ bridesmaids bringing plenty of light relief to things. Oh, and before we have anyone asking where Mavis got her dress from, it was a Noel Chu number from Hong Kong. However, that was only one of FOUR dresses she wore on the day. Very impressive indeed.
It does seem to be common among our couples to have a fusion wedding where they combine different styles to make it uniquely theirs. Here we had the traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony melded with an English Country Garden theme. All this was inside a fab Kåta tent. If you haven’t seen/heard of a Kåta tent before, they are a awesome combination of a teepee and a marquee*.
*They are actually native for the Sami people of Lapland – trivia fans.
It was wonderful to present this Windermere wedding video and can’t wait to head back to the Lake District again!
