Continuing our series of weddings shot this year in glorious sunshine (seriously – if you want sun on your wedding day, we are your lucky charm), this was big day for a big occasion with over 200 guests!
Filming started at the big and beautiful St Michael’s Church in Ashton Under Lyne, which rather bizarrely had the front half of the pews facing the rear of the church! Throughout the service there was a great deal of joy and celebration to behold at seeing these two tie the knot.
Later on we had to keep the tape rolling longer than normal as around 20 people (a Reel Weddings PB) wanted to give a speech to how great the couple are and what a great day they had. When the evening party fully got under way you could see the grin on Mark’s face broaden as had the chance to bust a few of his trademark moves on the dance floor.
Man, these guys know how to party!
Enjoy the clip guys

Just as it says in the title, a little fun quiz for a dull Monday afternoon.
The Quiz: Here are three of our recent couples and three facts. Simply match the number with the letter to win.
The Prize: Hmmmm. I’ll buy you a Twix
- Which bride walked down the aisle to the ‘Star Wars Theme’?
- Which couple had their table placings named after different whiskeys?
- Which groom was presented with miniature trophies awarded for dubious honours?

a) Jasmine & John

b) Kim & Duncan

c) Shaheena & Chris
You can either email your answers through our website or write them on the comments below. I’ll post the winner at the bottom of this page.
Have fun and play nice.
UPDATE: Well we do indeed have a winner, and it was actually the first person to reply to this post! Before we congratulate them too much, I have to point out that the winner was actually one of the people mentioned here, so they had a 50/50 shot of getting it right!
So a big congratulations to our winner Chris Robertson who will win the (glorious) Twix bar when we next see you.

You really have got to love a good party.
I always find it odd when some companies stick to a cut off time in the evening. We always say to our couples “even though we say we will finish at 10pm, it is only a guide*. Filming actually finishes once we are happy we have enough quality footage from the day”.
The evening is one of the best bits, and is great to see people letting their hair down after a long day. I’ve just quickly put this short clip together from a recent wedding we shot to give you an idea on what fun there is to be captured.
Enjoy!

Along the course of our travels filming weddings we come to expect that a wedding day is about two people becoming one in marriage. However, Kirsty and Chris seem to have never really heard of this rule, as their day was really about three people; the aforementioned couple and their son, Dylan. We know full well how much fun and joy having a child in your life brings, so fully understand Kirsty and Chris wanting Dylan to be involved in their day.
Filming started at St Vincent de Paul in Knutsford. And in highly amusing circumstances, Kirsty turned up at the Church in the wedding car only to be greeted by all the guests stood outside enjoying the sunshine. After the service, we travelled down to Rookery Hall giving us the chance to meet more of the couples friends and family. What really struck us on the day was how friendly everyone was and what fun everyone was having, and it also helped that there were so many children running around and enjoying the weather. Kids are so much fun to film as they loooooooove to act up in front of the camera.

….and now for the really geeky bit!
The wedding was also the first opportunity we had to take our new camera, the Canon 550D out for a real test. At least half the shots in this clip were from the camera, and I hope you’ll agree that the results are stunning. For those of you who haven’t switched off at the point, the Canon 550D looks just like a camera your wedding photographer uses. Well that’s because it is! So not only is it able to take fantastic images, it is able to shoot HD video as well.
I. Love. This. Camera.
PS: As I sound like I’m getting carried away here, I have to stress that I love my wife and daughter more than I love the canon.

It’s been a crazy time for us over this past year, so Andrea and I decided to have a quiet family weekend away during Easter. With our baby daughter in tow we set off further north to the beautiful views of the Lake District. I had never been there before, so was my first time experiencing the sights.
Oh. My. Word. If anyone wants to have a holiday with breathtaking views, then look no further. The Lake District is a beautiful place, with such a relaxed attitude. I would have loved to taken one of our cameras along to capture things although I would have probably gone into “work” mode. Another day then.

We’d love to go back to this magical place again and again, so if any of you lovely people decide that this is the place to host your wedding day please keep us in your thoughts.
