You may have noticed rather more fluidity in our footage than previously. This is all down to a couple of devices known as a Glidecam and Glidetrack.
We have had our Glidecam 4000 for over a year, but have never really had the time to make the full use out of it during a wedding. For those of you who are not familiar with it, a Glidecam is a stabilisation device which allows fluid camera movements. Without it, it is near impossible to get steady extended footage when you are walking (try it to see for yourself).
You can see some examples of what it can do at the official Glidecam website here.
We are also really excited about our new purchase, the Glidetrack HD. This wonderful device allows smooth tracking movements which you will notice on many Hollywood films. Here is a little promotional video from the Glidetrack’s creator, Alastair Brown.
You can see how we put these two pieces of equipent to use on Sophie & Paul’s Wedding Trailer.
